Third solidify release – bidirectional synchronisation

Slowly, solidify is improving. Bidirectional synchronisation should work now, although this does not make any sense yet, since the file system is still read-only. However, all the foundations are laid now and things should improve from now on. The user interface is still rough, and a non-writeable file system is largely useless for now. Unfortunately, my time is pretty limited currently – my dissertation comes first.

Second (pre-alpha) solidify release!

It is my pleasure to announce the second release of solidify, the remote, cached, synchronising FUSE file system. Version 0.2.0 can be obtained on the download page.

It has been a long time since the first release, but I have been occupied with my dissertation and life in general. I hope to be more productive in the next months.

Changes are: Many more safety checks and a command line tool that allows files to be selected for solidification in a mounted file system as well as bugfixes. There is a full overview over the current limited status and some new documentation.

This is the first (pre-)alpha release of solidify, a remote, cached, synchronising FUSE file system. It is written by Jan Essert and released under the GPL.

Current information includes: An overview over the intended functionality, an overview over the current limited status and documentation.

If you are brave enough, get it here! Warning: Even though the current release is read-only, it may eat your data or worse! Use it at your own risk!
